Experimental Study on Capillary Pumping Performance and Permeability Measurement of Porous Structure
摘要
Abstract
The application of the capillary pumping model of porous structure developed before was discussed and a measurement method of permeability of porous structure was proposed and verified by experiment. The result shows that the capillary pumping performance experiment of porous structure can be used to measure the permeability of the porous structure The experimental studies on the effects of porosities, geometric parameters (height and sectional area) of the porous structures on their capillary pumping performances were performed and the result supported well with the above conclusion. Comparing with other traditional methods, it needn't be seal during the measuring process and the flow is drove by capillary pumping force as it is in the actual heat pipe operation, the requirements of the strength and the shape of the porous structure is low and the measurement is easy, so it is supposed to be better than the traditional method in evaluating the flow property of porous wicks for heat pipe applications.关键词
