摘要

Abstract

To calculate the excessive losses of the stator coil bars in air-cooled hydro-generator,the eddy and circulating current losses and temperatures in the stator bars were investigated thoroughly.An optimal solution of electromagnetic field,fluid field,temperature field of the stator bars was presented and established using finite element method(FEM) based computational fluid dynamics(CFD)/numerical heat transfer(NHT) methods,with consideration of the factors such as the strands distribution in slots and the difference of slots of same phase and different phase.The excessive loss and temperature distribution of the stator bars were calculated and compared with the site test data from a 350?MW air-cooled large hydro generator.Results show the optimal method is accurate and effective in engineering application.
