Schmallenberg Virus Infection
摘要
Abstract
Schmallenberg Virus is an emerging livestock disease, transmitted by the blood-sucking insect bites. In adult cows, cases of acute infection have resulted in diarrhoea, fever, and reduction in milk yield. In pregnant sheep and cattle, the disease has been presented as fetal malformation, miscarriage or stillbirth. So far, this disease has been reported in Netherlands, Belgium, Western German, Northern France, Southern and Eastern England. And some countries have stopped importation of animal product from the epidemic countries. This article summarizes the latest progress of the disease, and introduces the pathogen, epidemiology, prevention and control measures.关键词
