Adverse Drug Reaction Reported in Our Hospital: Analysis of 435 Cases

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To probe into the characteristics and general pattern of adverse drug reactions (ADR) in our hospital. METHODS: By a retrospective study, a total of 435 ADR cases, collected from our hospital during 2008 - 2011 and had been reported to Nationwide Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Network, were statistically analyzed. RESULTS: Of the 435 cases, males (58.16% )showed higher proportion than females (41.84%); 34.25% (149 cases) were induced by antibiotics. The ADR cases induced by injection and intravenous route were most common, accounting for 63.91 % and 62.53 % , respectively. Lesions of skin and its appendants were most common clinical manifestations of ADR, which accounted for 26.81% (126 cases). There were 8 severe ADR cases (1.84%). After all, 433 cases were cured or improved, and 2 cases had sequela. CONCLUSION: More attention should be paid to ADR monitoring, especially indication of anti-infection agents, so as to reduce the incidence of ADR.关键词
