Evidence-based Pharmaceutical Treatment for Patients with Coronary Artery Disease Complicating with Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To develop rational drug treatment plan for patients with coronary artery disease complicating with diabetes mellitus. METHODS: Two problems were put forward according to the health state of one patient. We searched MEDLINE (1975-Mar.20ll), Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (No.l, 2011) and Cochrane library (No.1,2011). The drug treatment plan was made according to obtained evidence. RESULTS: 3 systematic reviews and 14 RCTs were involved finally. The evidence indicated that the treatment plan of patients with coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus should be given insulin treatment with avoiding hypoglycemia, and quick effective human insulin analog was the best. CONCLUSION: Based on evidence-based medicine, the treatment plan for patients with coronary artery disease complicating with diabetes mellitus is selected, and it reduces mortality and decreases the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.关键词
