Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To explore the ways of reducing the total medical cost for patients through lowering drug expenditure. METHODS: The reform mode that hospital delegated the procurement and supply of hospital drugs to a drug distribution company through public bidding was introduced, the difficulty and countermeasures were analyzed, and drug income, average outpatient cost per capita and other index were compared before and after reform. RESULTS: The difficulties involved production enterprise and physician-cooperation, etc. The key to implementation was benefit reform. Compared with before reform, the proportions of drug income, outpatient expense per capita, outpatient drug expense per capita, hospitalization expense per capita, inpatient drug expense per capita and daily expense per bed had decreased by 5% , 13.58%, 24.50%, 5.09%, 8.91% and 10.92%, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: The explored centralized drug supply of our hospital can reduce total medical cost burden for patients through lowering drug expense.关键词
