汉晋音乐赋的创作专事铺叙、体物写志、虚构夸张。语言绮丽,注重文采,讲求韵律。结构上追求＂繁类以成艳＂以造成气势,并运用铺陈、比喻、排比、夸饰、用典等多种艺术手法,来表现音乐之美,体现了繁花似锦的艺术特色,具有浓厚的文学色彩与美学价值,从而使音乐赋成了赋体文学的主要分支之一,在文学史上占据着重要的地位。
