Influences of Blood-Letting Puncture at Jing-point and Semen Coicis(Yiyiren) on the Brain Edema in Experimental Cerebral Ischemic Rats

Abstract
Objective: To observe the influences of blood - letting puncture at Jing - point and Semen coicis ( Yiyiren ) on the survival rate, survival time and brain edema in experimental cerebral ischemic rats. Methods; Healthy male SD rats were selected, and then were randomly divided into normal group, sham operation group, model group and three treatment groups, and they were: the group of bloodletting puncture at Jing ( Well) -point, Semen coicis (Yiyiren) group and the group of bloodletting puncture at Jing( Well) -point plus Semen coicis. Middle cerebral artery occlusion ( MCAO) models were established according to Longa method. The brains were taken at 48 hours after establishing the model, and the brain water content and brain coefficient were measured. The survival rate of rats in each group and the survival time of the dead rats were calculated. Results: After blood -letting puncture at Jing -point and Semen coicis ( Yiyiren) , the survival time of rats that died within 48 hours after eerebral ischemia had been prolonged, the brain water content and coefficient value had been reduced. The combining use of bloodletting puncture at Jing( Well) - point and Semen coicis had better effects. Conclusion; Blood - letting puncture at Jing - point and Semen coicis ( Yiyiren ) have the tendency of promoting the survival rate of rats after cerebral ischemia in 48 hours and have certain effect of prolonging the survival time of rats that die within 48 hours after cerebral ischemia, and had certain improving function on ischemic brain edema.关键词
