Numerical Simulation of Large Thin-Walled Casting of ZM6 Magnesium Alloy
摘要
Abstract
The numerical simulation was carried out by using of MAGMASOFT for the casting process of thin-walled casting of ZM6 magnesium alloy, and the temperature field of the filling and solidification process of the casting was researched for predicting the various defects of casting process. The results show that the gas holes and oxide inclusion easily occurred in the ingate of casting, and defects of shrinkage and porosity occurred in connection position between the centre of casting and feeder. By metallographic, SEM and EDAX analysis, the actual casting defects was consistent with the simulation results.关键词
