Effect of concentration of PEG6000 on the properties of YVO4 :Eu3+ luminescent films

摘要

Abstract

VO4: Eu3+ luminescent films with different polyethylene glycol 6000 ( PEG6000) concentrations (0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0. 10 g · mL-1 ) precursors were synthesized by sol-gel method. The structures and spectral properties of samples were studied with X-ray diffraction(XRD) , Fourier transform infrared ( FTIR) spectra, scanning electron microscope ( SEM) and Fluorescence spectrophotometer. The results showed that when the concentration of PEG6000 changed from 0. 04 g · mL-1 to 0. 06 g· mL-1, the grain spacing was decreased, the films became compact, as well as the luminous intensity was enhanced. When the concentration of PEG6000 was further increased (from 0.08 g · mL-1 to 0. 10 g · mL-1) , the grains gather together and form clusters, thus resulting in the decrease of the luminous intensity.
