Abstract
Fire resistance effect of different flame-retardants such as magnesium hydroxide(MH),alumina trihydrate(ATH),intumescent flame retardants(IFR),zinc borate(ZB) were studied by differential thermal analysis(DTA).Thermal behaviors of the MH/ATH/IFR/ZB/PF system were researched by analyzing the DTA curves and heat release.At the same time,the combustion performance of the system was studied by analyzing the oxygen index,vertical burn test and examinating the rate of smoke.The results indicate that the MH/ATH/IFR/ZB/PF system has the minimum heat release which decreases by 65% comparing with pure phenolic resin.The maximum oxygen index of the MH/ATH/IFR/ZB/PF system was 93.4%,it is 2.2 times of that of pure phenolic resin.The vertical burning levels of the flame retardant systems rise from UL94 V-1 of pure phenolic resin to UL94 V-0.MH and ATH showed better smoke suppression than other flame-retardants,the yield of smoke was 72%.关键词
