Abstract
Wideband beam forming is a difficult problem for phased array radar digital signal processing. The present wideband beam forming methods only satisfy one advantage of constant beam width or adaptive. For the radar to incorporate both advantages, this paper presents a wideband adaptive beam forming method based on the RLS algo- rithm. Firstly, an adaptive reference beam pattern is obtained, then the constant beam pattern range is determined and other frequency weights is worker out by RLS algorithm, and finally wideband beam forming can be obtained. This method can not only ensure constant beam width, but also realize adaptive null control. The validity is investi- gated through a series of simulations.关键词
