Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical signification of elF 4E protein in endometrial carcinoma. Methods In 40 cases of endometrial carcinoma and 22 cases of normal endomedium , the expression of eIF4E protein detected by immunohistochemistry of SP were analyzed semi - quantitatively by Image pro - plus 6. 0 image analysis system. Results The mean optical densities (MODs) of eIF4E protein in endometrial carcinoma and normal endomedium were 0. 189 ?. 059 and 0. 108 ?. 021 , respectively, both normally distributed. The expression of eIF4E protein in endometrial carcinoma was significantly higher than that in normal endomedium (P <0. 01) , and positively correlated with differentiation degree, FIGO stage and differentiation degree (P <0. 05). Conclusion The expression of eIF4E is positively associated with development, progression and clinicopathologic features of endometrial carcinoma ; suggesting a novel prognostic factors for endometrial carcinoma .关键词
