摘要

Abstract

The partition function of the air and its calculation method are given at normal temperature. As the main part of the air is nearly made up of oxygen and nitrogen, we start at their translation and internal partition functions. The internal partition sums of oxygen and nitrogen molecules are fit for four-order polynamial expression with T at normal temperature, and the coefficient is evaluated in the five temperature regions. This model provides a rapid and accurate calculation of the total internal partition functions at normal temperature. Finally, the calculation result of partition function of the air was given with the parti- tion function expression of the mixed air.
