Emission and reduction strategies of greenhouse gases generated in municipal wastewater treatment plants
摘要
Abstract
In recent years,great development has been made in wastewater treatment,resulting in annual increase in pollutants reduction capability of wastewater treatment plants.However,little attention has been paid to the greenhouse gases(GHGs) generated during wastewater and excess sludge treatment and disposal processes.The sources of GHGs generated from municipal wastewater treatment plants were demonstrated.In addition,reduction strategies of GHGs were proposed based on the selection of wastewater treatment process,scientific regulation and control of operation parameters,and treatment,disposal and reclamation of excess sludge as well as recycling of effluent,to provide guidance for further research on GHGs reduction and low-carbon operation in municipal wastewater treatment plants.关键词
