Trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids are two kinds of the typical chlorination disinfection by-products in drinking water. In this paper, according to the research results of the THMs and the HAAs of the experts at home and abroad, the detection methods, effect on DBPs formation and control of DBPs were summarized.
