Observer-based delay-independent control for steam valves of steam turbo-generator

Abstract
A delay-independent decentralized controller based on the state observer is proposed for the steam valve opening of a turbo-generator. The design of this controller is based on the mathematical model of the turbo generator with reheater, which involves nonlinear interconnection function. The nonlinear interconnection function is first converted into a bounded quadratic inequality of the subsystem states; and then, by constructing a proper Lyapunov function and applying the linear matrix inequalities (LMI) method, we develop for the turbo-generator the sufficient condition of asymptomatic stability and determine the gain matrices for the controller and observer. Simulation has been performed in a two-machine infinite-bus power system; results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.关键词
