Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of sutureless small incision extracapsular cataract extraction in the treatment of sclerotic nucleus cataract and summarize its value of clinical application. Methods Selected 433 eyes of 268 patients with the cataract treated in the Department of Ophthalmology of Hambong Central Hospital from June 2007 to June 2009. They all received the sutureless small incision extracapsular cataract extraction. It applied tobramycin eye drops on diseased eyes of all patients before the operation, and applied compound tobramycin eye drops after the operation. Ob-aerved and analyzed the clinical effect and took the statistical analysis. Results There were 397 eyes (91.7%) with the spherical corrected vision or naked vision ≥0.5 1 day after the operation, 411 eyes (94.9% ) with the one ≥0.5 1 week after the operation, and 409 eyes (94.5%) with the one ≥0.5 1 month after the operation, generally reaching to the stable leveL There was no statistically significant difference in the spherical corrected vision or naked vision 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after the operation ( P >0.05): where was the statistically significant difference in the comparison of degree of comeal astigmatism between ones 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after the operation and the one before the operation ( P < 0. 05). There woe 22 eyes (S. 1%) had posterior capsular rupture during the operation, 27 eyes (6.2%) had zonular dialysis (6.2%), with the incidence of complications during the operation of 11.3%. There were 94 eyes with the complications after the operation, with the incidence of 21.7%. Conclusion There are significant clinical effects of sutureless small incision extracapsular cataract extraction in the treatment of sclerotic nucleus cataract, which can significantly improve the spherical corrected vision or naked vision and reduce the occurrence of complications. It is safe and reliable and worthy to be reasonably popularized and applied in clinical practice.关键词
