摘要

Abstract

The growth rhythm of two year old Castanopsis hystrix seedlings among pravenince (Bobai, Pubei and Donglan) was investigated . The results showed that the growth rhythms of seedlings from the three provenince were consistent with the logistic equation, reflecting a 'S pattern' in both height and basal diameter growth. A sequential clustering analysis was used to partition the seedling growth into four periods: early growth period, a period before fast-growth, fast growth period and later growth period. Analysis of variance and multiple comparison showed that the C. hystrix of different origins varied in their seedling growth, with seedlings from Bobai and Pubei growing faster than that from Donglan.
