摘要

Abstract

STATCOM(static synchronous compensator)is the most advanced technology of reactive power compensation in the world,and it has been applied widely to the load compensation of modern power grids,but less to the transmission line compensation yet.This paper introduces the engineering practice of a ±200 Mvar STATCOM project in China Southern Power Grid(CSG),including the design scheme of the project and its main technical characteristics as well as the output harmonic,loss and noise of STATCOM.The engineering practice in CSG gives reference for the applicaton of large capacity STATCOM devices into the field of electric power transmission with high voltage and heavy power.
