摘要

Abstract

Structural properties of bentonite were introduced. Methods for modification of bentonite, including activity modification such as high temperature calcining, acidification, salt activation and microwave activation as well as modification by additives such as inorganic additives, organic additives and inorganic/organic composite additives were discussed. Applications of modified bentonite in treatment of organic pollutants,heavy metal ion contaminants and the printing and dyeing waste water treatment et al were reviewed. Finally,existing problems, development trends and application outlook in the field of betonite modification were prospected.
