Observation on the Control Effect by Hunting Callosciurus erythraeus
摘要
Abstract
Callosciurus erythraeus is one of harmful animals in forest and often does grave damage to for- est. About 7 600 hm2 of artificial forest in Hongya Forest Farm were damaged by red-bellied squirrels be- fore 2006. The workers of the farm and the local residents have been encouraged to hunt red-bellied squirrels since 2006. More than 240 000 squirrels have been hunted. Therefore the population of the squirrels have reduced, and the damaged area has decreased to 3 200 hm2.关键词
