Behavioral Responses of Dendroctonus armandi Adults to Host VolatUes and Their Own Body Extracts

Abstract
Y-tube olfactometer was used to test the behavioral selectivity of Dendroctonus armandi to vola- tiles,which were extracted by different organic solvent. The data showed that the attractability of three volatiles to the female adults was different： hexane 〉 pentane 〉 aether, and the attracability of three vola- tiles to the male adults was different： hexane 〉 aether 〉 pentane, displaying that hexane was better than ae- ther and pentane as an organic solvent.关键词
