摘要

Abstract

The relationship of ethylene and abscisic acid ( ABA) with the cut flower senescence of ' Huhong'tree peony was studied through the application of exogenous ethylene, ABA and their inhibitors. And the regulation mechanisms of ethylene and ABA to senescence of cut flowers were also discussed in this paper. The results showed that 100 mg/L exogenous ethylene and 1 mmol/L ABA could accelerate the senescence process of cut flowers; 1 mmol/L STS as an inhibitor of ethylene could distinctly delay the senescence of cut flowers; 1% 1 -butanol, the inhibitor of phospholipases D (PLD) played an important part in ABA signaling pathway could postpone the process of senescence. Ethylene and ABA are two important branch - circuits that could regulate the senescence process of tree peony cut flowers. This study laid foundation for further revealing mechanism and cloning genes regulating tree peony senescence to breed new long - flowering - period peony varieties, and also provided theoretic basis for research on flower preservatives for cut flowers.
