Expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma 2 in omental adipose tissue of nonobese polycystic ovary syndrome subjects and its relationship with insulin resistance

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ2 (PPARγ2) in o-mental adipose tissue of nonobese polycystic ovary syndrome ( PCOS) subjects and its relationship with insulin resistance (IR). Methods Eleven nonobese PCOS subjects (observation group)and eighteen non-PCOS patients(control group) were chosen to detect the PPARγ2 mRNA expression level of omental adipose tissue by RT-PCR, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and fasting plasma insulin (FINS) were measured to calculate homeoslasis model insulin resistance index( HOMA-IR). Results The level of HOMA-IR in observation group were higher than that in control group (P < 0.01) ; while the other parameters had no statistically significant difference. The correlation analysis showed that the expression level of PPAR-γ, mRNA had no correlation with FINS and HOMA-IR. Conclusions The expression level of omental adipose tissue PPAR-γ mRNA had no correlation with insulin resistance in nonobese PCOS subjects.关键词
