摘要

Abstract

Water flow and sediment movement in a double-suctions centrifugal pump were simulated with an Euler-Lagrange multiphase flow model,and erosion of the runner by different sediments was predicted with a particle erosion model.The results show that the erosion model can accurately predict the erosion rate and erosion position on the runner.The erosion rate increases significantly with sediment concentration inereasing and decreases with the decreasing of sediment diameter.For different sediment concentrations,the erosion rate on the blade′s suction side is always greater than that on its pressure side.On the pressure side the erosion near the passage inlet and outlet is more severe,while on the suction side the erosion location changes with different sediment concentration.
