Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical results of close reduction and open reduction treatment for senile unstable distal radius fractures. Methods Retrospective analysis of the clinical results of 65 senile patients with unstable distal radius fractures from January 2009 to June 2010 in our department were randomly divided into close reduction group ( n=32 > and open reduction group (n=33 ). The patients of close reduction group were treated with close reduction and external fixator, while the patients of open reduction group were treated with open reduction and internal fixation. Results Follow-up duration averaged 10 months (6 to 12 months ). According to the Jakim evaluation score: the good excellent rate and satisfaction of the patients in the close reduction group were 78.13% and 84.38%, while the open reduction group were 84.85% and 78.79%. There was no significant difference in curative effect and the satisfaction of the patients for the two groups ( P > 0.05). Conclusions Close reduction and open reduction can achieve acceptable curative effect for senile unstable distal radius fractures.关键词
