Impact of Tending on Productivity and Health of Forests in Qinling
摘要
Abstract
Tending and thinning were carried out with the four types of forests of Larix,Pinus armandii,Pinus tabuliformis,Quercus aliena in Qinling mountains.The impact of tending on forest in terms of stem diameter,height,quality and health were studied.The result showed that tending and thinning adjusted the stem diameter distribution with the number of trees of big diameters declined and productivity increased.Tending and thinning have little impact on height of trees but increased the proportion of quality timber trees,reduced decay and rotten wood as well as kept the pest and disease under 5%.关键词
