摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between pulse pressure and prostatic volume in elderly patients with essential hypertension. Methods A total of 101 hypertensive patients were enrolled in this study: 61 benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients and 40 non-BPH patients. All patients underwent ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and the volume of prostate was detected by ultrasound. Results Pulse pressure in BPH group was higher than that in non-BPH group ( P < 0. 05). A positive correlation was found between PP and prostatic volume in 101 patieats(r =0. 184,P = 0.035). Conclusion The 24 h pulse pressure is closely related with prostatic volume in elderly hypertensive patients.关键词
