Research Progress in Synthesis of Caprolactone by Cyclohexanone Oxidation

摘要

Abstract

Caprolactone(COSC) is a new nontoxic monomer used in synthesis of poly(caprolactone) which is called a green chemical. Synthesis of COSC by oxidation of cyclohexanone was mainly introduced. The oxidation of cyclohexanone with per-carboxylic acid, H2O2 or O2, and the enzyme catalysis method were summarized. For the H2O2 method, the homogeneous catalyst systems were compared with the heterogeneous catalyst systems. The oxidation of cyclohexanone with H2O2 or O2 was safer, more economical and more environmentally friendly than that with percarboxylic acid.
