摘要

Abstract

Two typical pure terephthalic acid (PTA) technologies were simulated using Aspen Plus software. The exergies of the units and the streams in the two processes were analyzed. According to the comparative analysis results, the exergies of the two PTA processes were mainly consumed by four subsystems: air compression, oxidation reaction, energy recovery and solvent dehydration. The effective utilization of the exergy of process A was better than that of process B. Compared to process B, the water could be recycled in process A, and process A recover more energy but consumed more acetic acid than process B. Ordinary distillation and azeotropic distillation were employed by process A and process B for recovery of the solvents, respectively. Both of the exergy loss and the dehydration efficiency of process A were lower than those of process B.
