Roles of implantation serine proteases 1 and 2 in embryo implantation

Abstract
Implantation serine proteases 1 (ISP1) and 2 (ISP2) were firstly reported in 2001, and identified as novel members of SI proteases family. ISP1 and ISP2 were specifically expressed in oocyte, fertilized egg, early embryo and uterine tissues in mice. In vivo and in vitro experiments demonstrated that ISP1 and ISP2 played critical roles during the embryo implantation process. They might be potential targets for novel contraceptives. This review briefly describes the research progress on ISP1 and ISP2.关键词
