Application of method for carbon nanotube thread in health monitoring for three-dimensional braided composite material

摘要

Abstract

The status of structural health monitoring technology for the three-dimensional braided composite is analyzed. The four-step 3D braiding technology is proposed to braid CNT yarns and composite weaving together to form in-telligent composites, and the test data of resistance/strain show that the braided angle and pitch of CNT yams are important parameter affecting structural health monitoring of three-dimensional. The results indicate that the fea-sibility of CNT yarns sensor as the new integrated and distributed technology for detecting the health of compos-ite.
