Application of theory of "the eyes acting as the window of the liver"
摘要
Abstract
The "eye acting as the window of liver" is one of the most influential theories of traditional Chinese medicine. From the extensive literatures of the ancient physicians it can be seen that the status of the liver has a direct link with the the functional status of eyes in physiology and pathology. Once the liver is in throuble, there will be a series of pathological conditions of eyes. At the same time, the liver lesions can be diagnosed by appearance of eyes diseases. The special disorders of eyes can often predicate the disease of liver. With the theory of liver-eyes relations the etiology and palhogenesis of blindness, dizziness, eyes diseases, mental disorders and other diseases can be explained and the treatment can be guided. In summary, liver injury can cause diseases with many varied symptoms and different disorders, but it has a close relationship with the eyes.关键词
