Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of intracranial stereotactic multi -target radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of intractable schizophrenia. Methods; Intracranial multiple nuclei including amygdala, mcdialis septal area, cingulate gyrus and so on were located by stereotactic technique with computed tomography, microelec-trode and electric impedance and treated by radiofrequency ablation in 160 patients with intractable schizophrenia. The therapeutic effect was estimated with psychiatric rating scale 6 months after treatment. Results; Based on clinical global impression (CGI) , 84 patients were obviously improved, 70 were improved and 6 were invalid. There were significant differences in the brief psychiatric rating scale ( BPRS) between preoperative data and postoperative data ( P < 0.05), Conclusion; The stereotactic multi - target radiofrequency ablation might be an effective method for the treatment of intractable schizophrenia.关键词
