摘要

Abstract

To investigate the changes in anti-oxidative ability and morphology of liver and hippocampus in mice induced by D-galactose, the mice are induced by sc 1 250 rag'kg ' D-galactose for 6 weeks in the experiment. Then the total antioxidant capality (T-AOC), contents of malondialdehyde ( MDA ) and the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), monoamine oxidase(MAO) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px) in brain, the activities of SOD, MAO and GSH-Px and the contents of MDA in liver and the plasma SOD activity and MDA level are measured respectively. Results show that the T-AOC, activities of SOD, MAO and GSH-Px and the contents of MDA in brain decrease in D-galactose treatment group (DT) ; In liver, GSH-Px activity decreases, contents of MDA increase and the SOD activity increases remarkably(P <C0. 05) in D-galactose treatment group, but SOD activity increases remarkably and the contents of MDA do not change remarkably in plasma. The liver and hippocampus morphology changes markedly in the treatment group. The mice induced by D-galactose can be used as the model for aging research.
