Abstract
Infectious bovine bronchitis virus (IBRV) is an important infectious pathogen of cattle. It can cause respiratory tract disease, conjunctivitis, abortion, encephalitis and systemic infection. PCR and Real-Time PCR detections showed the positive results of IBRV in nasal swab samples from a farm in Guangdong. Then one IBRV isolate named GD0109 was obtained using MDBK cell line and the viral strain was confirmed by viral neutralization test with IBRV immunoderum. The analysis for virus characteristics showed that this isolate could cause cell to shrink, turn round and form the multinucleated giant cells. The results of TCID50 and neutralization test showed that there were no significant virulence differences in passage-1, passage-3 and passage-5 of the isolate and the reference strains of IBRV. It suggested that GD0109 is a virulence isolate. This study applies a basis for further vaccine development,
