Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical curative effects of improved diorthosis on upper eyelid entropion with presby -palpebral cartilages thickening. Methods Thirty eight cases( 38 eyes ) diagnosed as upper eyelid entropion with presby - palpebral cartilages thickening were selected. The incision was made 2 mm above the lash,and redundant orbital cavity fat was partially resected. Reparation was made in ruptured levator muscle of upper eyelid. The 2/3 part of middle - inferior palpebral cartilages with trichiasis was thinned,and some tissues under the conjunctiva in the lower margin of the thickening palpebral cartilages were resected and the gray floss was cut open. Results In the six - month follow up,the cure rate in short term( 1 month )was 94. 12%( 32/38 ) ,and the effective rate was 5. 88% ( 2/38 ). The cure rate in long term was 88. 24% ( 30/34 ) ,and the effective rate was 8. 82% ( 3/34 ). The failure rate was 2.94%( 1/34 ). Conclusion The improved correction of entropion is effective for the patients with long course of disease and palpebral cartilages thickening with presby - upper eyelid entropion, and its short and long effects are good. But follow up and control study should be made among large samples for a long time.关键词
