摘要

Abstract

The nano-TiC powders were synthesized by mechanical alloying with the starting materials being Ti powders and cyclo-hexane. The qualitative and quantitative analyses of ball-milling products were performed by X-ray diffraction combined with Ri-etveld refinement. The morphology, composition and crystallinity of the products were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy. The formation mechanism of TiC in the process of ball milling was also studied. The results showed that the main phase of the products was TiC with small amount of TiHj and residual Ti. The as-synthesized TiC particles appeared easily agglomerated with uniform particle size and excellent crystallinity. The synthesis mechanism of TiC is determined to be diffusion-controlled.
