Topology and Protocol of Practical High-speed Fiber Ring Net for Large-capacity Power Electronic Systems

Abstract
The distributed control based on the serial optical fiber communication technology is an important direction of development in the large-capacity power electronic converter system. As for the disadvantages of the existing distributed control systems, this paper proposed a high-speed fiber ring net topology of switching the data channel by software control and presented a simple and feasible communication protocol. Thus, the software programming and testing in communication control could be simplified and the synchronous accuracy could be improved, and the whole transmission delay of the high-speed fiber ring net could be reduced, which expands the application range of distributed control system based on the high-speed fiber ring net communication topology in the complex high-performance power electronic converter systems. Experimental results of corresponding data transmitting, data source switching and feedback data uploading tests verify the correctness, validity and feasibility of the net topology and protocol.关键词
