摘要

Abstract

In order to reduce the difficulty of stabilizer design and field tuning in large-scale power systems, this paper proposed the model of and theory of a new method of localized phase compensation to design a stabilizer in a multi-machine power system. The proposed method was based on the examination of direct damping contribution from the stabilizer to the line power oscillations in the multi-machine power system. The localized design can ensure the stabilizer to provide positive damping to and effectively suppress the line power oscillations. The proposed method was carried out on the basis of the local linearized model of the power equipment attached with the stabilizer. There is no need to establish the linearized model of the entire multi-machine power system.
