摘要

Abstract

A system to test automatic slack adjusters was designed based on PLC (programmable logic controller) and MCGS( monitor and control generated system) configuration software. The uncertainty of the system was based on three facts: uncertainty from fatigue-test machine's indication, the relative expanded uncertainty given by the producer, and the relative expanded uncertainty introduced by the calibration source when counter was used for calibration. A combined relative standard uncertainty of fatigue property was calculated and translated into absolute uncertainty. The uncertainty was used to assess automatic slack adjusters' life. The system can realize intelligent control and record the functioning times that characterize automatic slack adjusters' lifetime. Uncertainty was introduced to assess the results. The test system is stable in application! and the uncertainty assessment is helpful to improve the quality of automatic slack adjusters.
