Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of IGF-2 in different stages of infantile hemangioma. Methods The expression of IGF -2 in different stages of infantile hemangioma was detected by Streptavidin -Peroxidase immunohistochemical method,compared with vascular malformation and nomal skin tissues. Samples of infantile hemangioma and normal skin tissue were obtained from Wuhan Union Hospital. Archived paraffin blocks of vascular malformation samples were obtained from pathology department of Wuhan Central Hospital. All cases have not received any treatment before surgical excision. Results The expression level of IGF-2 protein in infantile hemangioma is higher than those of vascular malformation and nomal skin tissues (P<0.05). But the difference of IGF-2 protein expression levels in vascular malformation and nomal skin tissue may not be significant (P>0.05). The expression level of IGF-2 protein, the age of patient and pathological stage of IH could corelate with each other (P<0.05). Conclusion IGF-2 could play a significant role in the growth of infantile hemangioma,which makes it promising target for early intevention of this tumor.关键词
