Using “U” shaped auricular cartilage for repairing nasal alar defects

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of using "U" -shaped auricular cartilage for repairing nasal alar cartilage defects.then summarize its advantages. Methods 35 patients with nasal alar defects underwent the free transplanting of unilateral or bilateral "U"shaped auricular cartilage,harvested from Conchal Fossa (CB.Intertragic Notch (ITN) and Tragus(TG)area,and its efficacy was assessed. Results The method for repairing alar cartilage defects with "U'-shaped auricular cartilage from Conchal Fossa(CB,lntertragic Notch(ITN) and Tragus(TG)area indicates good and reliable efficacy. In addition,the donor sites were left with few defects or deformities. Conclusion "U"-shaped auricular cartilage form Conchal Fossa (CB.Intertragic Notch (ITN) and Tragus (TG)area is similar with alar cartilage in morphology and anatomy.The application for repairing nasal defects is worth promoting because of the reliable clinical efficacy and satisfactory results.关键词
