Abstract
Objective To investigate the prevalence of distolingual root in mandibular permanent first molars among the Han nationality in Heilongjiang province. Methods Cone beam computer tomography was used to observe mandibular first permanent molar, and the scanning three-dimensional image was viewed and analyzed to evaluate the prevalence of distolingual root. Results The prevalence of distolingual root in mandibular permanent first molars was 42.5%,and the occurrence of it did not differ significantly between the males (43.8%,28/64) and females (40.8%,20/49),such as left side (38.6%,17/44) and the right side (44.9% ,31/69). Conclusion The morphology of roots in mandibular first permanent molar among the Han nationality in Heilongjiang province was great variance.Knowledge of it can improve the success rate of root canal therapy.关键词
