摘要
Abstract
To investigate the relationship of maternal blood ( MB ) and cord blood ( CB ) insulin to fetal growth and development and its significance. Methods Five ml fasting venous blood was collected before delivery and 5 ml CB after in 90 normal pregnancy women ( without obstetric complications ) and their neonates ( n = 90 ) admitted from September 2010 to October 2011. Insulin levels of MB and CB were determined by SPE - HPLC. Results CB insulin level was significantly lower in group small - for gestational - age (SGA) than in groups appropriate - for - gestational - age (AGA) and large -for - gestational - age (LG-A), and higher in LGA group than in SGA group, the difference was significant (P <0.05). CB insulin was positively correlated with placenta weight, birth weight, body height of newborns. There was not significant difference in MB insulin between 3 groups (r = 0. 562, 0.583, 0.542, P>0.05). Conclusion CB insulin, closely related to fetal growth and development, can be used as an indicator for evaluation of fetal growth and development.关键词
