Abstract
Polyurethane/epoxy resin foam was prepared by a one step method with cyclohexane and water as the foaming agents. Universal testing machine, thermo-gravimetric analysis, and optical microscope were used to test the mechanical property, thermal properties, and the cell structure. Effects of polyethylene glycol and epoxy resin on the apparent density, mechanical property, and thermal stability of the foams were studied. With increasing contents of polyethylene glycol, both compressive and impact strengths of the foams first increased and then decreased. When contents of polyethylene glycol were 30 phr, both compressive strength and impact strength achieved the best level. Thermal stability of the foam increased when adding epoxy resin to the system. When epoxy resin was 15 - 20 phr, the overall mechanical properties of the foams were the best. Maximum compressive and impact strength were obtained when the cyclohexane/water was 10/1.关键词
