Experimental techniques in network pharmacology

摘要

Abstract

Network pharmacology based on biological networks aims to reveal the principles of interaction between drug and organism, represents a new philosophy and patter of modern biomedical research. Network pharmacological studies at the experimental level include obtaining the basic data required by network constructing, experimental verification of the network-based prediction model for drug or drug target. The experimental techniques used in network pharmacology characterize with high-throughput, quantitative, high sensitivity and accuracy. Besides of omics (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, glycomics, etc. ) technology, the key experimental techniques are the high-throughput/high content assay, dual high-throughput gene expression detection, molecular interaction assay. These three main technologies are reviewed in this paper.
