Acupuncture Heterolateral Zhongping and LI3 for Treating Shoulder Pain after Stroke: Clinical Observation of 30 Cases

Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture heterolateral zhongping and LI3 to ease shoulder pain after stroke. Methods; Divide the sixty patients meeting the criteria randomly into two groups. Both of two groups were taken Xingnao Kaiqiao acupuncture and the treatment group combined with heterolateral zhongping and L13 while the control group with acupuncture LJ15,SJ14 and SI9 by traditional method. Give scores to assess the effectiveness by VAS rating scale before and after acupuncture treatment. Results: The improvement of experimental group scores was much better than that in the control group ( P <0. 05). And scores of both two groups after treatment were much better than before ( P <0. 01 ). Conclusion: Acupuncture heterolateral zhongping and LI3 has a good effect on shoulder pain after stroke,and it is good for the recovery of upper limb function and the improvement of life quality.关键词
