Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of SHP-1 and SHP-2 protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and their relationship with clinical characteristics. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the SHP-1 and SHP-2 protein in 53 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma( NPC) and 21 normal nasopharyngeal tissues- At the same time, the relationship between SHP-1 and SHP-2 and clinicopathologi-cal factors were analyzed. Results The rate of positive expression of SHP-1 was significantly higher in nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues than that in normal nasopharyngeal tissues(64. 2% vs. 28. 6%,P<0. 01). The expression rate of SHP-2 in NPC was 30. 2 %, while that in normal nasopharyngeal tissues was 33. 3%. There was no statistic significance(PX). 05). The expression of SHP-1 in NPC tissues was correlated with differentiation,lymph node metastasis,T stage and clinical stage.but didn't relate to gender and age. Conclusion SHP-1 may participate in the development and progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,and may be used to predict the metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.关键词
